    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Natural Resources Conservation Service provides leadership in a partnership effort to help people conserve, maintain, and improve our natural resources and environment. http://www.nrcs.usda.gov Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid by the government. Any travel, transportation and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty to this position will be the responsibility of the selected employee.

    Must be fluent in the oral and written English and Samoan languages.

    This is a soil conservation technician position assigned to the Pago Pago Field Office (FO). The incumbent provides assistance to the District Conservationist (DC) and is responsible for providing technical support services and scheduling the installation and application of conservation practices. Works within a team concept to develop and implement ways to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of the products and/or services provided to internal and external customers. The work requires review of cost-sharing requests under the provisions of federal, state, and possibly local agricultural programs.
