November 12, 2007: I am responding to the message left by Troy and Falana Truax on September 26, 2007. I believe that we do in fact have the same James Tuitama. He is here in Washington stationed at Fort Lewis. He was injured in Iraq and is recouperating. I am sure he is looking forward to hearing from you. I look forward to corresponding with you. Thanks for the contact. (CC - Tacoma, Washington)

October 10, 2007: I just wanna shout to my people back home... I miss them and God bless... (Lina Tupuola - Fitiuta, Manu'a)

September 26, 2007: We are trying to locate a James Tuitama that would have been in the Marine Corps @ Camp Pendleton with SCAMP between 1996-2000 when Troy was in the Corps. James was from Oxnard, CA. We saw the previous comments about a Sgt. James Tuitama and were wondering if it was him. We named our 2nd son (and last baby) Tuitama after him and would like to get in contact with him. If CC in Washington knows this is him, could you please post a comment or email us? We would greatly appreciate it. (Troy & Falana Truax - Tucson, AZ)

March 21, 2007: Talofa Lava! My grandfather is from Manu'a. I lived there back in the 60s with an aunt and uncle that were taking care of the family land for grandpa. I attended Papatea School (Elementary and Middle School) Manu'a didn't have a High School then. The 9th graders would migrate to Tutuila to attend one of the High Schools and stayed with other family members on Tutuila. Well I left Manu'a in 1965 and didn't return to Manu'a until 1983 for my grandpa's funeral. Manu'a is always the prettiest one to me. I never had the opportunity to visit Ofu and Olosega. I just recently came back from Samoa last summer after a 3 week vacation. Spent one in Manu'a and didn't want to leave after a week. I have some recent photos taken in Tau and on the way to the airport. Take care and Good Luck to you! (Duhon Luafaletele)

March 20, 2007: Hello, my name is Kolone Mauia. I'm from the village of Faleniu, Am Samoa and currently living in Utah. I'm trying to find my family web site. I'm a Moea'i too. Well, if you're the same Moea'i then would you please send me the user name and the password... thanks. (Kolone Mauia - Faleniu, American Samoa)

February 12, 2007: I'd like to be the first one this year to write down my thoughts... ok. Wassup to the Tauala's,Mauga's, Tuliau's, and especially the Tauanu'u's. Anyhow y'all don't know me - I'm from Seattle, Wa. Well, just saying wassup to the fellow people of my islands... Alright, see y'all later... peace. (Ala Tuliau - Tau, Manu'a)

Filimaua - Tacoma, WA)

February 8, 2007: First of all, I would like to say Malo Uso. Thanks to the brother or sis for this site. I BELIEVE we are the future. As a home born son, it's sad we grew up and move to the states and forget where we're from. We need to think hard and long about the future of the people of Manu'a. The people of Tutuila do not care about us. Faipule? that's a joke. I say that no matter where I live now, Man'ua is always my home. Hallow Back yo. YOUR HOME BOY. (Taulelei Moliga - Vancouver, WA)

February 6, 2007: Talofa Manu'a Peeps, this is going to be brief - I need help with the Filitaula side of my family. My great grandfather is Fa'agalulu Filitaula and has a brother name Tuialu'ulu'u. I'm looking for their parents name. I just can't go beyond them and I'm stuck right there. Please help. I would really appreciate it a whole lot. Thank you! (Evalu Titialii Filitaula - Seattle, WA)

January 26, 2007: Malo lava le soifua, First and foremost I just wanted to thank you for putting together this website for all to see Manu'a for it's "REAL" beauty and for the pictures; just seeing those pictures make me want to go back to Manu'a. I'm from Manu'a myself, from the lovely village and island of Ta'u, and of Olosega & Sili; Olosega island. I'm currently living in American Samoa. I haven't been to Manu'a since Cyclone Olaf. Let me tell you that was my first cyclone, and I got to admit - it was pretty exciting to experience the wrath of mother nature in the islands. Well, you mentioned if anyone was a graduate of Manu'a High School, I graduated in 2003. Living in Manu'a was the best experience I've ever had. Growing up in the states you realize the need for hi-tech things compare to living in Manu'a where you didn't really need much because you had food from the sea and from the plantation. Well, don't want to bother you any longer, I wish I could go on but I'd be writing forever and ever; you'd probaly wouldn't want that. Until next time... Manuia le aso! (Sullivan Sokimi - originally from Tau, American Samoa)

January 21, 2007: I am so excited to hear that we're finally building a hospital in Manu'a. It's just about time. Our people have been traveling to and from to the main hospital in Tutuila. In some cases, some patients die without even getting to the main hospital in Pago. It's good news for our people. I know without a doubt that we have talented doctors and nurses out there that are willing to come back and serve our island. (Tapalega - Olosega, Manu'a)

January 18, 2007: Well first of all I would like to give thanks to our Heavenly Father for His love and care for each and everyone of us. I just got some news about how beautiful this website is... Anyways, I just want to say that this website is so nice for us to chat and telling others of what is going on in manua... well, holla back, because I don't have much time to talk about this net... nice to meet you guys on this website... and I hope that this will be something for us to meet and tell what's going on in American Samoa, and over there in Manu'a... lots of love send from the little princess sharlynne puletasi. (Sharlynne - Fagaalu, American Samoa)

January 15, 2007: I am so proud of the Samoan soldiers who are serving in Iraq. I pray for all the families of these soldiers who are risking their lives to protect our country. And I appreciate all the people of American Samoa who started this program. Again I thank you all. (Emila Faaumu - Fitiuta, Manu'a)
