October 2, 2009: Lyle Ten Fingers, I don't know if you remember me. I'm Ken Roberts. I knew you when you were in South Dakota. Last I heard, your family was in American Samoa. I heard about the disaster and used Google to find you, led me to this page. How is everyone? Is any of your family still on the island? I will call you some time if you respond, otherwise I don't want to bother you. I just wanted to know if everyone is safe. (Ken Roberts -Near Chicago)

September 16, 2009: This is a great site - found it by accident looking for a friend name Jalalieh. I saw an earlier post with one of her brothers name "Lyle". Is that you Lyle? Holla, I'm on facebook. ANyways, to keep in theme with the site, I am happy to say that I spent my early childhood years in Olosega,Manu'a. Don't remember much but I remember a little about the boat ride there. My grandparents are Tivao And Mesi Poloai. We lost them many years ago, and they are truly missed. Most of my family are now in the mainland. I'm not sure if there is anyone left in Olosega. My Dad would like to return there someday to retire. White sandy beaches, cool breezes, and someone to fish for his meals...someone who is willing to go the distance (lol). Wishing all of you love, peace, and prosperity. (Seta Unga - Utah)

I am pure Manukan, born and raised to carry the Manu'a Pride, granddaughter of Sam and Maliali Puletasi. May God bless. Soifua. (Lizadelle Lauti - Vatia, American Samoa)

We were on the MMA website one time and came across your name and I was wondering if that was really you. Now you've confirmed that for me, so hope all is good with you, as well as the whole family. I'm just praying and hoping to go back home and stay for good some day. But until then you all take care and God bless. God Bless Manu'a too!!! (Moana Harris - KY)

May 19, 2009: I just found out about this here forum and decided to join in on it. I hail from Manu'a, heck I still go there often and love every minute of it. I stay on Tutuila in the village of Fogagogo where there are tons of us Manukans all over. Anyways, we rocked this year in the fautasi competition, Matasaua pride, and working on getting a new boat. Back here at home is the same, still loving it and that's about it. I know I have tons of family out on here or anywhere so just wanted to express a little about me and what's going on. If you folks need some good stuff from here get at me. Take care my fellow brothers and sisters of the Manu'a Islands. Lau. (Laulelei Sualevai - American Samoa)

May 6, 2009: This is new. WoW. Anyways, It's being awhile I haven't visit our manu'atele forum. I've seen that we've being absent from our last log in date. It's quiet a gap there. Well, I really didn't have any stirring issues to discuss here. I just mainly want to come in here and see what's going on in our Manu'a community. Hopefully the changes in Am. Samoa with the tuna cannery won't affect our Manu'a. But I believe as part of our territory, I just pray for good things to come. God bless us all. Always proud to be a Manu'an.. hails from Luma Ta'u Manu'a. (Amirah - Malibu, California)

December 10, 2008: Hi everybody! It looks like it's been a while since the last posted comment, but I just wanted to say I know about Sili, Manu'a. Someone was looking for pictures of Sili, also a map. I'm thinking you're my relative, but please hit me up because I have lots of information about Sili, Manu'a (for anyone too who wishes to know). I was raised in the village of Sili, Manu'a since as a little girl before I moved to Hawaii. I have fond memories of Sili. My grandparents are the late Iete Maualuga and Emeli Maualuga. I remember each family who lived in Sili. I wish to reconnect with you if you wish to too. I remember village neighbors of my grandparents' back in the 80's (some to my knowledge are now deceased)--(I lived there from 1979 and left in the late 80s but visited every summer) I remember: Fulu, Moeola, Pupula (little girl I used to play with), Faafoi, Seepa & Lisa (my best friends back then--we now meet up on Myspace), Sipa'u and Faaoso, Sualevai, Malaga and Mili, Vaiuli, Faagogo, Laka and Lesa, and Seui family. Won't take up much space here, but just wanted to put it out there for those seeking general info on Sili, Manu'a. I have family in Olosega and Ofu still, but there's noone in Sili anymore since the natural disaster hit. Sili will forever remain in my memories clear as the days I spent there as a little child. Love yall! ~me, Resa. (Theresa (Ioane) Daniels - Waipahu, Hawaii)

August 6, 2008: (This message was forward to me by a friend.) Malo: Talofa lava, I am searching for relatives on my Father's side of the family. I know that my father was born in Ofu, Manu'a and he is the son of the late Milovale Autele Tuato'o and Aigafealofani Tuato'o of Manu'a and Alofau. I was searching through the net and I found my great-grandparents name on there. My grandmother: Milovale Autele is the daughter of Alo Autele and Sofa'i Tupo. As far as I know, my grandmother has a sister name: Gauamu Fitiausi, and that is all I know so far. My grandmother passed away while my dad was a tiny baby, so I kinda know some of the people, but I was hoping to find out more about my grandmother's siblings. So if any one out there can help me do not hesitate. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

July 2, 2008: Aloha everyone! I'm here to look for any NUA family members from Si'ufaga Ta'u, Manu'a! if you are surfing the web! feel free to contact me on my email at hana_nua808@yahoo.com. I did hear that we have a family website going but had a difficult time finding it, so HEY FAMILY! Post it up on my email if anything! Take care, continue to stay blessed and love you all. (Hana Nua - Manu'a and Tutuila, American Samoa)

June 23, 2008: I knew a girl once, and she was from Manuatele, I don't recall exactly what island she was from. It was just a brief conversation that night. But I recall her saying that she was from Manu'a, but if she ever visit here. I just want to say hi to her, she told me her name was Lisa, while her friends were laughing in sarcasm behind her. And all I could remember one of her friends slipped her tongue and said "whatever Margaret" so if anyone knew a Samoan girl name Margaret from Lawton, who hangs out with punch of friends at Scooters... could you let her know that um... tell her I say hi. (Ray C - Lawton, Oklahoma)

May 30, 2008: I just want to say that I'm very overwhelmed and immensly full of joy to be able to convey in a meaningful way that I'm a "proud Manu'an born." I boast about my roots and how beautiful my island is; it's a constant adreline rush for me to do so. I want to thank and fa'amalo to all our "Toa o Samoa" who are currently in Iraq bravely fighting for our country's freedom, especially my deepest fa'amalo to my 3 brave brothers - Sano, Lauifi & Lincoln. They all did their terms of deployment and another preparing again to deploy next month. I just console with heart felt message of being brave and honest. And I whispered to him, that no matter what the consequences caught up at, and rough terrains you are going to uncounter, make sure you get on those knees and pray. No matter where you at. Make sure to let God knows that you are there for a good cause and for our country. Make us proud.. lil'brother. Our prayers will always be with you.. and every soldiers who are over there in Iraq. God bless us all. Soi fua and faamalo. (Amirah - Ta'u, Manu'a)

May 26, 2008: Hi there, I came across your website and wanted to let you know that I am impressed with your content. I am not Samoan but I love the culture, language and people. I even lived with a Samoan family for two years which gave me a first-hand look into the culture. Keep up the good work. (Stephan Goldsmith)

May 24, 2008: This is to Diana (20April2008) - My paternal grandmother is a Galeai. Well, her maiden name was Legalo Le'i, but her mom and dad are Le'i and Valo'ia Galeai - also from Manu'a. Any relations? Anyways, I don't know too many family members on my dad's side so new family members are always exciting. Much alofa's and God bless to you and yours! (Tracy Feagiai-McNeal - Misawa, Japan)

May 15, 2008: Hi everyone. I would like to say hi to all my family in Vaiusu and Satapuala. (Felolini Lole - Auckland, NZ)

April 20, 2008: Judging by my name one wouldn't have any idea that I am proud that my parents and roots originate from Manu'a. My mommy is a Galea'i and a Poumele (from Fitiuta) and the sa'o of my daddy's family was Seumaala (from Olosega). Since I married a cutie from Fagasa, we cheer for Fealofani Samoa II, however, in my heart I pray that the Matasaua continues to better their position each year to a victory. HI MOMI (Hawaii)! Since I was raised in California, I am sad to say that I am not use to you. However, when I want to know more family members, I ask my designated relatives who have an extensive knowledge of our family tree. I also found it helpful attending family fa'alavelaves and events so that I would meet more and more family members and vice versa. I hope you find more of your family. As a parent, I want to make sure that my son knows where he is from and the heart of the ancestors that have worked hard to pave a road of opportunity for him. I pray that God opens doors for you that no man can shut as you continue to find more of your family members. Blessings! (Diana-Los Angeles, California)

April 19, 2008: Hi I'm trying to find out more about my family. My grandfathers name was James Tulafono Taa and his father was Taa Sao. All I know is that my grandfather said he was a talking chief. I guess I should have paid more attention when he spoke, but now he has passed on. I want to know why he left Samoa behind and why he took his fathers first name as our last name instead of leaving it as SAO. I don't recall meeting anyone from my Samoan side of the family. And he never spoke of family. Does anyone know who my family is. (Momi - Hawaii)

February 16, 2008: As y'all know, I'm bricks and bones Manu'an. Royal blood runs through me. Hail from Luma Ta'u, Manu'a. Daughter of Nash Tauiliili and Faapouli Moa'aliitele. I'm not here to allege or claim anything. I'm simply here to announce that I'm a TUIMANU'A descendant. Love Y'all. Proud to be Manu'ans...because I am hell of proud to be one. Manu'a Pride! (Amirah - Ta'u, Manu'a, American Samoa)

January 30, 2008: Logoleo (granma), Faamu (granpa), Paau (auntie), Lemafai (my usos forever). Faamalo aoao paia i Tuimanua. Faamalo ao paia tuimaulagi i lo tatou Faaola mau sili. Faamalo i Tui Maia ma Soiai - just luving you and I miss you; much alofa with hearts; missing my usos, granmas, grandpas, and my manuamoni forever. Love you all. PRAY. PRAY. PRAY until we see again. (Falefasa - from Manu'a)

January 28, 2008: Hi, my name is "Selilia", but is well known by the name "Kake". I reside here in Hawaii, still going to school in Kalihi. [Senior!]. I come from a family of eleven. I carry the last name "Manui'a" and is currently looking for other "Manui'a" out here. I really don't know the other side of the Manui'a clan. Get at me. I feel like I'm related to some people who are actual family but strangers in someway. I don't know. It's irritating me when I hear people who got the same last name and we don't know each others. (Selilia - Honolulu, Hawaii)
